  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or Mixer

Ingredients

Puff Pastry

  • 1 package puff pastry

Cream Filling

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp corn starch

Garnish

  • fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the puff pastry.
  • Roll out the puff pastry thinly and cut it into rectangular pieces for the layers of your Mille-Feuille.
  • Place the pastry rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Prick the pastry with a fork to prevent it from puffing too much during baking.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and corn starch until soft peaks form.
  • Place one layer of pastry on a serving plate and spread a layer of whipped cream on top.
  • Repeat the process with another layer of pastry, adding more whipped cream, and finish with a final pastry layer.
  • Dust the top layer with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh berries for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can drizzle melted chocolate on top or use a traditional pastry cream instead of whipped cream for a richer taste.
